The gala evening that saw the crowning of the Patiala girl Navneet Kaur Dhillon as the new Femina Miss India 2013 had Aishwarya Rai returning to the stage that became her springboard to stardom way back in 1994. Now, just a bit shy of two decades on, Aishwarya made a comeback to stage performances with an act on Sunday evening.
She made a levitated entry on the stage and began grooving to the number ‘Udi’ from her last Bollywood release Guzaarish.
Aishwarya’s dance was choreographed by Shiamak Davar.
Davar tweeted, “Rehearsing with Aishwarya for Femina Miss India. Memories from when I choreographed her for Miss World. Don't miss it today.”
The evening also saw performances by the likes of Priyanka Chopra (also a former Miss World like Aishwarya), and the star cast of Indra Kumar's "Grand Masti" -- Aftab Shivdasani, Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi.
The show was telecast live on Sunday night.
