Golden Jubilee night!
A host of Bollywood celebs graced the night of Pond’s Femina Miss India 2013 beauty pageant on Sunday at Yashraj Studios in Andheri, Mumbai. If Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai performed on the stage, the likes of John Abraham, Chitrangada Singh and Karan Johar were part of the jury.ApunKaChoice has already told its readers about the lovely Patiala girl Navneet Kaur Dhillon winning the Miss India crown. Well, the night may have been nerve jangling for the 23 contestants, but there was a lot of entertainment and glamour from the Bollywood brigade for the viewers.
Priyanka Chopra, Miss India and Miss World winner of year 2000, danced to her peppy track ‘Desi Girl’, Aishwarya Rai, Miss India and Miss World 1994, showed her nifty moves in the flamenco number ‘Udi’.
Priyanka also had a word of advice for the winners.
“The crown stays with you forever. It changes you from who you could have been to who you are going to be,” she said.
Punjab girl Navneet Kaur Dhillon won the Femina Miss India 2013 crown. Sobhita Dhulipala, from Vishakhapatnam was the first runner up, and Zoya Afroz from Mumbai was the second runner up.
